So far so good,as far as the tental goes and the sign up.They need to tweak their policy about hours open. I went there 2 days in a row to the office between the stated office hours. No one there and no sign in window. I called the # in window, they said they would call me back. No call back. I tried a 3rd time, Carter was there and was extremely efficient in showing me the areas and signing me up.he made up for the earlier missteps.

The units are clean, air conditioned and easy to access. The storage facility is great. I did have several problems with the access code and was not able to enter. I was also charged for insurance and was told twice that the refund would be processed... still waiting. The customer service aspect is lacking. If you tell a customer the code works, it should work. If you tell the customer you will process a mistaken charge and issue a refund, it should be refunded. Seems simple to me.

Get’s the minimum requirements right but falls short on the rest especially with the new price increases.The location is usually pretty clean and it’s climate controlled which are the positives.Some of the office staff lack basic customer service skills. One example - I had to wait 10 minutes for the person in the office to finish a personal (not business related or even with a customer) conversation before opening the office door - during normal office business hours. Then acted as if I was inconveniencing them by being there.They upped the rent on a generally normal schedule with generally reasonable increases. Recently, they have been raising the rent much more frequently and have used the blanket reason of “due to inflation”. This seems like opportunistic price gauging.

Tiffany is rude to be upper level management. Poor representative of the company in all aspects in terms of appearance, communication and customer service skills. Absolutely horrible. Whoever the the young immature young boy is is also horrible. He can't make change, has poor customer service and is super unprofessional. Not once but twice I've heard him using profanity to customers and staff to express himself. Very unprofessional. The manager has always been amazing. Dan is amazing and accommodating. But if you ever have to deal with the sloppily dressed Tiffany with the red hair or the young guy with the unkempt hair, potty mouth who can't figure out how to make change I'm sure you'll find storage elsewhere as they'll be a total turn off.

So far the service hasn’t been that great! I rented last week went up to the unit and somebody else had put their stuff in the unit. I was told it was an error and the people would move their items out of the unit. A young man was going to go up to make sure it had taken place and call me back right away, which I did not receive a call back. I called a week later to be told it should be cleaned out by now. I asked them to go up and check so I didn’t have to make a trip to make sure it was cleaned out now and The woman told me she would go up and give me a call back. I told her I would hold, she asked. Do you want to wait for 10 minutes? It takes me to get up there. I answered yes because I didn’t get a call back the last time.I requested a new start date since a week had passed since I have been able to use the unit or have had a courtesy call back to tell me I could use the unit and now I’m being told that they can’t do it in the computer and a manager will get back to me. Being told that they are not sure that they can do that is obviously not an option so we’ll see what happens.

I have used ValuSpace in the past so it was a no brainer to come back when I needed storage again. Other than lack of moving carts (only 2 available on whole premises it seems) getting to and from my unit was easy and I feel like my stuff is secure and safe from damage.

A few weeks ago there was a water incident at this location and as frustrating as that could be it was made completely manageable by the leadership and staff at this location of ValuSpace! Tiffany was amazing to work with. With my permission and keys she moved my collectible to another unit VOLUNTARILY! Talk about mind blown! They didn’t just move my stuff they took photos and toweled dried anything that was damp. When I checked on my valuables the next day, everything was perfect! There was no damage. If it wasn’t for the proper response by Tiffany and her staff I would be putting in a claim for insurance. Truly a stellar business and personal. I couldn’t recommend this location enough! Been renting here for 4 years in the Albany areaNever had a problem with any of the staff or employees until recently. Always make payments on time. Never hang out all night as some renters do. Very disappointed in the new people working in the office. Very rude and even tried to deny me access into my storage unit. Whatever you do don't think about bringing your animal with you when you visit. I would not recommend this place. Not anymore!!!!!

The manager at ValuSpace was very helpful. He walked me through the leasing process and answered all of the questions that I had. The storage space I was provided with was clean, spacious, and in a convenient location which made the process of moving my large furniture into the storage unit easier.As I was looking for a storage company in Albany, NY, I was mainly concerned about security since most/all of my furniture had to be put in storage. I was relieved when I arrived at ValuSpace and noticed all of the safeguards that ValuSpace has in place to ensure that their lessee's personal items are protected.

The manager was very helpful over the phone when I experienced a few problems with understanding the website. Completed the deal, got the code and unit number. All good. But when I delivered my first load to be stored, the loading door closest to my unit was out of operation. Also the second time. And still the third time. That time I asked the manager in the office when it would be fixed, and was told in about three weeks, as they're waiting for the part. So, it's a good value but not too convenient to my actual unit. I'll live with it. Just a nuisance that increases the trip a little. The entire space that I've seen is well kept, clean, and brightly lit in the hallways, which is nice.

After speaking with Justin, I felt that the facility would be more than adequate for our needs. The assurance he gave me in reference to the safety of the grounds is honestly what made my decision to go with ValuSpace. The location while a bit further than others I had looked at still is easily accessible. Without hesitation would give 5 out of 5 stars!

Safe, secure location. Well lit, temperature controlled, these are the pluses. But the downside is they bring you in with a “deal” and they raise the rent. I’ve had a price increase every year I’ve stored there since 2020. Started at 150 now 180+.Update: After this review, I was given a discount or roll back on my rental rate. So this shows the company does read the reviews and care. Thank you.

ValuSpace is excellent. I recently rented the 10x30 drive up unit in Clifton Park. Location is convenient. Unit is nice and clean. Area is secured with all around the security cameras and you have to set up your own passcode for entry the gate. ValuSpace also have the rental truck for the 1st move in and the first 3 hour is free. It’s awesome and saved me some money. Lisa was the only staff there when I was pick up my unit. She helped me sign up the lease and show me where is my unit located. Super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend ValuSpace to my friends and family.

I am the Vice President of The Animal Support Project (TASP), a small all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization located in Cropseyville NY. Our primary mission is to help families keep the pets they love in their own home, rather than leaving them with no options beyond surrender or euthanasia. Given the current economic and medical challenges of these times, things have been extremely hectic responding to requests for help while trying to stay afloat financially.Our annual Memorial Day Weekend tag sale is our main fundraiser that allows us to continue to fulfill our mission. In the last several years, we have partnered with two other local animal organizations, Out of the Pits (OOTP) and Operation SNIP. Each of our organizations provides support to the others for all three sales. TASP’s primary role is to help OOTP clean up unsold items at the end of their sale rather than discarding usable merchandise, deliver those items to SNIP’s sale the following week and also helping them clean up at the end of their sale. In turn the unsold items donated from these partners to TASP increases the quantity of items available for their weekend sale. It is a win/win situation for all.The storage unit is located within several minutes of all of the tag sale locations. In past years, it has taken hours, after already long days, to clean up the sites and move items to sheds in a variety of conditions at our own homes located much, much further away. Doing this several times was very stressful but necessary.I cannot overstate what a blessing it was to be able to clear the sites and move everything to one close, easily accessible area. In addition, the storage unit was clean, bright, climate-controlled and a perfect fit for our needs. It not only saved us many miles and hours of time, we also did not lose any items due to weather, rodents, etc. It was a pleasure to find a new supportive local partner, We spread the word about the quality of the facility and especially the friendliness and professionalism of your staff, which also cannot be overstated, every chance we get.Sincerely, Lucinda C Collins
